Mobile Homes and the AARP
Mobile
homes are very popular with retirees, and it is no surprise that the AARP
has a wealth of mobile
home resources for the manufacdtured housing buyer.
The AARP site has plenty of info about how to shop for a
mobile home and how to protect yourself to insure that problems are covered
under warranty. Much of this is common sense, like, "Look for a reputable
dealer". Nevertheless, this is good reading for anyone before they
shop for a mobile home.
Shopping for a strong warranty
is another suggestion of the AARP article. One thing not mentioned in
the article but which we feel is a good idea is to check for is UL
Testing. Testing by Underwriter's Labs offers yet another protection
to the consumer and helps insure a safe and reliable mobile home.
